Objective: To assess the value of susceptibility weighted imaging(SWI)in diagnosis of cerebral micro-bleeds(CMBs)and the clinical value of CMBs.Methods: 87 cases of ischemic strokes whose were from January 2015 to October 2016 were divided into two groups: cerebral micro-bleeds group(A group: 48 cases)and no cerebral micro-bleeds group(B group: 39 cases). All patients received conventional head MR and SWI scanning. The quantity of CMBs and sensitivity in detecting CMBs was compared between the conventional MR images and SWI images, the related risk factors for patients in the two groups were compared. They were also divided into two groups:hemorrhagic transformation group(C group: 15 cases)and no hemorrhagic transformation group(D group: 72 cases),the influence factors in two groups were analyzed. Results: There were 947,134,152,159 CMBs on SWI,T1 WI,T2WI and T2 FLAIR images, and the sensitivity for SWI,T1 WI,T2WI,T2 FLAIR images in detecting CMBs were100%,14.1%,16.1%,16.8%,respectively.The quantity of CMBs on SWI images was the largest(p<0.05).The differences of high blood pressure level, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, lacunar infarction grades andmyelinopathy grades between the A and B group were statistically significant(P< 0.05).The differences of CMBs and area of infarction between the C and D group were statistically significant(P< 0.05).Conclusion: The quantity of CMBs detected can be obviously increased using SWI images,CMBs may lead to hemorrhagic transformation,so the SWI examination should clearly display cerebral micro-bleeds and important clinical significance in the prevention and treatment of CMBs in patients.
