Objective:The purpose of thesis is to develop to develop and validate the quality of life instrument for Head and neck cancer(QLICP-HN)(V2.0T)and the Chinese version of EORTC QLQ-C30&QLQ-H&N35,and severally evaluate these two scales.Methods:Based on the theory of combination of FACT-B and FACT-G,the related domestic and abroad literatures,the characteristics of culture,and also the programmed decision procedure including nominal group and focus group diseussion,in-depth interview,pilot tests,pre-tests and the statistical procedures for items eleetion,a specific QOL instrument for patients with Head and neck QLICP-HN has been developed.A Chinese version of the QLQ-C30&QLQ-H&N35 was developed by strict translation procedures of EORTC translation guidelines,including forward translation,baekward translation,culture adaptation,and pilot-testing.Based on the two scales,the 100 Head and neck cancer were tested at admission,2 or 3 days after admission and at discharge.Accordin to the surve data,the author analyzes the surveying characteristics(reliability,validity and responsibility)and compares the results of two scales.The author uses following statistical methods:statistical description,t-test,correlation analysis,xploratory factor analysis and so on.Results:1.16 items of p Head and neck cancer specific module was developed,combining with the existing 39 items of the general module QLICP-GM to constitute the QLICP-HN.And the Chinese version of EORTC QLQ-C30&QLQ-H&N35 was also developed.2.Results on psychometrics of QLICP-HN showed test-retest-reliability of the seale is 0.990,Cronbaeh’s Alpha is 0.646,split-half reliability is 0.673.Correlation and factor analysis showed general construct validity.The Chinese version of QLQ-C30&QLQ-H&N35 as the criterion analysis,r=0.756(P<0.001),terefore,the quality of life scale for patients with head and neck cancer has a high correlation with the standard scale,which can be regarded as a good criterion validity.3.The author evaluates QLQ-C30&QLQ-H&N35 and compares QLICP-HN,QLQ-C30&QLQ-H&N35.Here are the results:from the content,both two scales can reflect the basic components of the quality of life measurement,but there are similarities and differences between them;from the surveying characteristics,the reliability and responsibility of two scales are good and validity is passable.In addition,both instruments with reliability、construct validity and responsiveness were similar,and had good content validity.Conclusion:the reliability and responsibility of QLICP-HN are good and validity is passable,so it can be used to test the life quality of Chinese Instrument for Head and neck cancer.There are similarities and differences between QLICP-HN and QLQ-C30&QLQ-H&N35 in content,and they are similar in surveying characteristics.
