Ancient Literature Research On The Clinical Application Of LaoGong (PC8)

Objective: Statistically analyzing the result,which is retrieved from "Traditional Chinese Medical Encyclopedia"(the fifth edition),on the relevant literature about Lao Gong acupoint,to get the attending diseases of single and compatibility acupoints of LaoGong,compatibility acupoints,the method of the techniques of acupuncture and moxibustion on LaoGong acupoint.Methods: To retrieve the relevant literature of LaoGong acupoint,and set up relevant databases,from which to aggregate and to statistically analyze the data.Results: The amount of the attending diseases of single LaoGong acupoint is 41,and the amount of the advantageous diseases is 20 with top ten diseases being Disphagia,Febrile disease,Hematochezia,Halitosis,Good hi want to laugh,Jaundice,Sorrowfulness,Actions blood,Hematuria,Halitosis in children.The amount of the attending diseases of compatibility acupoints is 46,and that of the advantageous diseases is 18 with top ten diseases being Injury of fetus,Furuncle,Jaundice,Disphagia,Epilepsy,Vomiting,Good hi want to laugh,Cardialgia,Palms hot,Haematemesis.There are 173 acupoints combined with LaoGong,and 140 of them are acupoints of fourteen meridians,and 18 of them belongs to extra points.The first ten acupoints combined with LaoGong are Da Ling,GuanYuan,ZuSanLi,TaiChong,XinShu,YongQuan,Zhong Wan,HouXi,TaiXi,JianShi.Needling “three fen” and maintaining “six breath”,moxibustion of “three zhuang”,is the common method of the techniques of acupuncture and moxibustion on Lao Gong acupoint.Conclusion: LaoGong are widely used in ancient china,and this research results can give theoretical support to the research of acupuncture and give guidance to clinical application of nowadays.
