Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of microwave therapy and deep hyperthermia on tuberculous pleurisy, and to explore the application value of microwave therapy and deep hyperthermia in the treatment of tuberculous pleurisy. Methods: 120 patients were treated in the Second Central Hospital of Baoding from January 1,2016 to December 31,2016.They were diagnosed with tuberculous pleurisy and divided into three groups randomly.Control group: the patients were treated with conventional treatment(including regular anti-tuberculosis treatment, use of low-dose glucocorticoid and extracting pleural effusion actively etc.).Microwave group: Combined with the microwave therapy based on the conventional treatment.Hyperthermia group:Combined with deep hyperthermia therapy based on conventional treatment. The cure rate, effective rate and pleural thickness, pleural fluid volume and pleural fluid absorption time were compared among the 3 groups after 4weeks.Results:1 Comparison of clinical efficacy among deep hyperthermia group, microwave treatment group and control group: the control group cure rate:40%(16/40),efficiency rate: 65%(26/40);microwave group cure rate:45%(18/40),efficiency rate: 75%(30/40);There was no obvious difference between the microwave treatment group and the control group in the cure rate(P=0.651)and the total effective rate(P=0.884);hyperthermia group of cure rate:65%(26/40),efficiency rate: 90%(36/40),In the deep hyperthermia group, the cure rate(P=0.025)and the total effective rate(P=0.029)were significantly better than the control group. There was no obvious difference between the deep hyperthermia group and microwave treatment group in thecure rate(P=0.072)and the total effective rate(P=0.077).2 The absorption time of pleural effusion in the control group was22.45±5.17 days,in the microwave group was20.45±4.22 days, the microwave group was a litter shorter than in the control group(P=0.062);the absorption time of pleural effusion in the hyperthermia group was 18.18±3.86 days,it was much obviously shorter than in control group and microwave group(they were respectively P=0.000 and P= 0.014).3 After four weeks, the degree of pleural thickening in control group was10.53±7.81 mm,in the microwave group was 7.95±9.99 mm.The degree of pleural thickening in the microwave group was less than that in the control group(P=0.131).The degree of pleural thickening in the hyperthermia group is 4.80±4.91 mm,it was less than in microwave group(P=0.025)and obviously less than control group(P=0.000).Conclusions:1 Both of the deep hyperthermia and microwave therapy can reduce the absorption time of tuberculous pleural effusion, reduce pleural thickening and improve the clinical effective rate and cure rate;2 The deep hyperthermia therapy is stronger than microwave therapy,it is more easier to promote the absorption of tuberculous pleural effusion and reduces pleural thickening, however there is no obvious advantages in the cure rate and effective rate.
