Objective: This study analyses nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients whose pituitary gland are checked by the unenhanced and dynamic enhanced MRI examination before and after chemoradiotherapy,so we analyse the imaging data according the examination above,to explore whether there is a difference between the two group data before and after therapy. And then,to explore whether there is a significant change in the pituitary gland of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients who are examined by chemoradiotherapy from the perspective of imaging. Methods: This research collected 46 cases of patients during the NPC hospitalized for chemoradiotherapy from May 2015 to December 2016,their nasopharynx and pituitary are examined by MR scan and dynamic enhanced scanning before and after chemoradiotherapy;through analyzing the varieties of pituitary height 、the time signal curve and the rate of nerve pituitary signal intensity before and after chemoradiotherapy,to explore whether there is a significant change in the pituitary gland of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients who are examined by chemoradiotherapy from the perspective of imaging. Results: 1,The height of pituitary before chemoradiotherapy is(0.593±0.134)cm,the height of pituitary after chemoradiotherapy is(0.570±0.147)cm,take paired samples T test,P > 0.05;2,the rate of nerve pituitary signal intensity before chemoradiotherapy is(1.65±0.34),the rate of nerve pituitary signal intensity after chemoradiotherapy is(1.72±0.41),take paired samples T test,P > 0.05;3,the average Max enchancement before chemoradiotherapy is(1200.51±274.70),the average Max enchancement after chemoradiotherapy is(1041.91±271.82),take paired samples T test,P < 0.05;4,The average time to peak before chemoradiotherapy is(49.15±6.77)s,the average time to peak after chemoradiotherapy is(50.56±7.78)s,take paired samples T test,P > 0.05;5,The maximum enhancement slope before chemoradiotherapy is(24.94±7.02),the maximum enhancement slope of patients after chemoradiotherapy is(21.20±5.90),take paired samples T test,P < 0.05.Conclusion: MR evaluates that there is no statistically significant difference in the height of pituitary before and after chemoradiotherapy;MR evaluate that there is no statistically significant difference in the rate of nerve pituitary signal intensity before and after chemoradiotherapy;MR evaluate that there is no statistically significant difference in the average time to peak, but there is a statistically significant difference in the average Max enchancement, the maximum enhancement slope before and after chemoradiotherapy; The conclusion indicates that there is a change in pituitary blood flow before and after chemoradiotherapy.
