Objective To evaluate the safety of complete liver split with incomplete liver split in first-stage ALPPS.Methods Four database of Pubmed,Google Scholar,CNKI,Wangfang were searched to find literatures about liver split styles in first-stage ALPPS between 2012 and 2017,data was extracted and quality of included studies was assessed,RevMan5.3 software was used for statistic analysis. Results Five studies were included for final analysis with 160 patients,of whom 86 were in complete liver split group and 74 were in incomplete liver split group. There were no significant differences in the mean regeneration rate of FLR,the time internal two stage operation, the postoperative mortality between the two group(P>0.05),the postoperative severe morbidity in complete liver split group was obviously higher than incomplete liver split group,[OR =2.99,95%CI(1.04,8.58),P=0.04].Conclusions Although the postoperative severe morbidity of complete liver split was higher than incomplete liver split, there were no significant differences in postoperative mortality, the safety of complete liver split in first-stage ALPPS still needs more large sample and RCT studies to prove.
