Objective: To investigate the changes of NK cells and the level of IFN-γ in peripheral blood of patients with hepatocellular echinococcosis, and to explore the changes of immune response of human NK cells during the infection of Echinococcus multilocularis, which may provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of alveolar echinococcosisMethods: 32 patients with hepatic alveolar echinococcosis received from the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from April 2016 to February 2017,were taken as AE group and the control group was 30 cases of physical examination of Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital physical examination center. These two groups were taken early morning fasting peripheral blood。The expression of CD56 and CD16 of NK cells were detected by FCM.The level of IFN-γ was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results: The number of NK cells in the peripheral blood of AE patients was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The percentage of CD56dimCD16 +NK cells in AE group was lower than that in control group(P <0.05).The ratio of CD56brightCD16-NK cells in AE group was not statistically significant compared with the control group(P> 0.05).The level of IFN-γ in peripheral blood of AE group was higher than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion: After the echinococcus multilocularis infect the human, the secreti on of IFN-γ increased, suggesting that IFN-γ is involved in the body’s immune response to hydatid.: After the echinococcus multilocularis infect the human, the number of NK cells, especially the CD56dimCD16+ NK cells with killing fu nction decreased significantly, suggesting that echinococcus multilocularis may h elp its sustained infection in the human body by down-regulation of CD56 dimC D16 + NK cell expression.
