Objective To estimate the clinical trial effect of PEEK-OPTIMA ? HA reinforced PEEK material fusion(in polyether ether ketone(PEEK)intervertebral fusion spraying on hydroxyapatite(HA)),Comparing with the traditional PEEK fusion cage on the JOA score,intervertebral height,angle to improve the fusion segments and so on.Finding the superiority and its non-toxic side effects.We would explore its value in clinical application and provide the reference for the clinical application in future.Methods We randomly drawn 36 patients from the subjects which conform to the standard.Patients were randomly divided into control group and experimental group by using random numbers.The control group and experimental group were all 18 patients,including 12 cases of lumbar spine,6 cases of cervical spine.Then we randomly divided into control group and experimental group,control group and experimental group includes 18 cases respectively.The experimental group and control group are carried out conventional decompression,bone graft fusion and internal fixation.The fusion are implanted from lumbar posterior or anterior cervical implants.Then we fix pedicle screw rod and decompress vertebral plate.After crushing down the bone into the granule,we put it in the fusion.We implant traditional PEEK intervertebral fusion into control group and implant the new type of intervertebral fusion into the experimental group.Following up for 6 months,we observe the function of JOA score and intervertebral bone graft fusion.Result Participate in the experiment group and control group were followed up successfully.The follow-up time is 6 months.Experimental group and the control group had no serious postoperative complications and postoperative symptoms were improved obviously.The fusion rate of experimental group was 97.2%,and the control group was94.4% in six months.There is significant differences in preoperative and postoperative between experimental group and control group on vertebral body curvature of fusion segments,the height of the intervertebral disc,nerve function of vertebral bodies.There is no significant difference between experimental group and control group on vertebral body curvature of fusion segments,the height of the intervertebral disc,nerve function of vertebral bodies.Conclusion 1.PEEK-OPTIMA ? HA Enhanced(PEEK-OPTIMA ? HA Enhanced)new intervertebral fusion is improved from the traditional fusion.It was added material of bone induction which could promote the osteogenesis ability.It meets the demand of intervertebral fusion in the process of physiological and biomechanical requirements.The molecular structure has good biocompatibility,effectively promoteing the intervertebral fusion.produce There is no obvious immune rejection or inflammatory response to the body.2.PEEK-OPTIMA ? HA fusion can effectively alleviate the patient’s symptoms,restoring nerve function;It could better restore and maintain the curvature of the vertebral fusion segment.It also could effectively restore and maintain the height of vertebral body intervertebral disc and effectively prevent the screw rods loose,fracture,also can effectively prevent the collapse of the intervertebral disc and prevent the collapse of the intervertebral disc.There is no other negative effects and It could promote bone graft fusion better.Above all,PEEK-OPTIMA ? HA enhanced integration could meet the requirements of the bone graft fusion.It has better effect on intervertebral fusion surgery.The postoperative clinical evaluation is higher,There is high clinical significance and suited to requirements of clinical application.
