Objective:To understand the role of PAEs exposure to children and adolescents in the critical development. Also,to provide a basis forthe mechanism and impact factors of early pubertal timing.Based on the case study of children and adolescents,a study was conducted to analyze the correlation of the use of plasticproducts, cosmetic products and PAEs concentration and early pubertal timingof children and adolescents. Methods:In November 2014,the purposeof sampling method was used to select two nine-year schools as a research school in Jiulongpo District,Chongqing. Each school is grouped in small classes. In the case of signing the informed consent of students and parents, the girls were taken the second and third grade of primary school and the first and second gradeof junior schoolfor the survey. Also, the boys were take the third grade and fourth gradeof primary schooland the first and second gradeof junior school for the survey. Each grade was randomly selected for 3 to 5 classes, and boys or girls were not less than 200 people. After excluding students with congenital malformations, heredity, metabolism, endocrine diseases and those who did not sign informed consent, participants were conducted to complete the questionnaires, physical examinations, critical events of pubertyand urine tests. In this study,1642 informed consent cases were approved and 1447 participants were included.Excluding the incomplete data,1286 valid questionnaires were received. In addition,923 urine samples were received and 552 valid samples were returned from Anhui Medical University. Results:In this survey, there were 94(7.3%)of the subjects in the stage of early pubertal timing,1192(92.7%)were in the stage of non-early pubertal timing.Comparing the stage of early pubertal timing and non-early pubertal timing, there was statistically significant differencein theuse of plastic products(χ2=3.888,P=0.049).However,it had no significant effecton thestage of early pubertal timing in boys and girls(P> 0.05).The difference in the use of skin care products(χ2 = 4.125,P = 0.042)and air freshener(χ2= 14.512,P = 0.000)was statistically significantand the use of skin care products had a significant positive effect on the stage of early pubertal timing(OR = 1.627,P = 0.033).The concentration of MBP was the highest and MBz P was the lowestin the urine of the stage of early pubertal timing and non-early pubertal timing. The concentration of MEP in the stage of early pubertal timingwas significantly higher thannon-early pubertal timing(t = 2.417,P = 0.016).The concentration of MEP had a significant positive effect on the stage of early pubertal timing(OR = 1.310,P = 0.010),while the concentration of other PAEs metabolites had no significant effect(P> 0.05).Conclusion:According to the use of plastic and cosmetic products and PAEs metabolites concentration on early pubertal timingof children and adolescents,it is of great significance to explore the consequences of influence and the prevention and control measures.China should combine the results of harmful effects with PAEsto improve the implementationstandards of industrial products and daily necessities of specific PAEs plasticizer. This study is intended to explain the relationship between analyze the environmental factors and endocrine metabolism andto providethe preventive intervention strategies forscientific basis.
