Expression And Significance Of IL-21、CCL20 In Licen Planus Lesion

Objective:To explore the expression and significance of interleukin-21 and chemokine CCL20 in lichen planus lesion.Methods:The case group: 30 cases(male 16 cases,female 14 cases,age from 18-60 years old,the average age is 41.73 years),all from the dermatological outpatient department of the Frist Hospital of Shanxi Medical University during 2015-2016,and all of them were diagnosed lichen planus by clinical and pathologic.They all had not received the treatment of corticosteroids,immunosuppressive agents and immune modulators within half a year,and did not have other systemic diseases,severe liver disease,kidney disease and autoimmune disease.Control group: 30 cases(male 13 cases,female 17 cases,age from 20-65 years old,the average age is 43.3 years),all from the Plastic section of the Frist Hospital of Shanxi Medical University in the same period,who did not suffer from any skin diseases and systemic diseases.There was no significant difference in gender and age between the two groups(P>0.05).All tissues were fixed by formalin and embedded in paraffin.The expression level of IL-21 and CCL20 in lichen planus lesions was determined by immunohistochemical method.The final results were analyzed by SPSS17.0 software.Two independent samples t test was used to compare the results between the two groups,and pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between indexes,P<0.05 was statistically significant.Results:The expression levels of IL-21 and CCL20 were expressed by gray value.The expression of IL-21 in the lesions of patients with lichen planus was(189.19±15.42),and the expression level in healthy control group was(232.55±12.97).The expression of CCL20 in the lesions of lichen planus was(198.91±18.65),and the expression level of CCL20 in healthy control group was(225.68±8.72).Statistical analysis showed that the expression levels of IL-21 and CCL20 in the lesions of patients with lichen planus were higher than those in healthy controls(t=10.532,6.112),and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.001).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the expression of IL-21 and CCL20 was positively correlated in the lesions of patients with lichen planus(r=0.691,P<0.001).Conclusion:The expression levels of IL-21 and CCL20 in the lesions of patients with lichen planus were higher than those in healthy controls(P<0.001),and the expression levels of the two lesions in lichen planus lesions were positively correlated(P<0.001).It is suggested that IL-21,CCL20 may play an important role in the pathogenesis of lichen planus,and may provide a new theoretical basis for the treatment of lichen planus.
