| Objective: To explore the roles in the development and progression of osteosarcoma, this paper invested the expression of ARHI and MMP-3 in osteosarcoma and the correlation between ARHI and MMP-3.Methods: The paper collected the clinical osteosarcoma(42 cases)and osteochondroma specimens(19 cases). All samples were classified by their different pathological characteristics. Then, the immunohistochemical method would be use to detecte the expression of ARHI and MMP-3 in osteosarcoma and osteochondroma and the SPSS 18.0 software would be use to analyze the expression of ARHI and MMP-3 between the clinical pathological characteristics, such as patients’ age, gender, pathological staging, location and metastasis.Results:1.The expression level of ARHI in osteosarcoma significantly was lower than its expression level in osteochondroma. There was significant difference between them(p<0.05).In osteosarcoma, the ARHI positive rate in I/IIA stage was significantly higher than its in IIB/III stage and the difference was significant(p<0.05).In presence or absence of metastasis, the positive rate of ARHI in patients without metastasis was significantly higher than in patients with metastatic. The difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).In other pathological characteristics,ARHI expression may have no correlation with patients’ age, gender, location and the difference was not significant(p>0.05).2.The expression level of MMP-3 in osteosarcoma was significantly higher than its expression level in osteochondroma. It had significant difference between them(p<0.05).In osteosarcoma, the MMP-3 positive rate in I/IIA stage was significantly lower than its in IIB/III stage and the difference was significant(p<0.05).In presence or absence of metastasis, the positive rate of MMP-3 in patients without metastasis was significantly lower than in patients with metastatic. The difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).In other pathological characteristics,MMP-3 expression may have no correlation with patients’ age, gender, location, and the difference was not significant(p>0.05).3.In osteosarcoma, the expression of ARHI and MMP-3 was negatively correlated(r=-0.486,p<0.05).Conclusion: ARHI and MMP-3 may have important roles in the development of osteosarcoma. There was the negative correlation between them. The expression of ARHI and MMP-3 in osteosarcoma may provide certain significance for the further study of osteosarcoma. |
