Effects Of EEG Biofeedback Therapy On Social Function For The Accepted Schizophrenia

Objective:To observe the effects in Daily behavior,Social capacity,Emotional response,etc on the combinations of the first generation anti-psychotics with EEG biofeedback therapy.Methods:1.Experimental method:The control group were treated with anti-psychotics,The study group were treated with anti-psychotics and EEG biofeedback training.2.2 groups were evaluated by PANSS and NOSIE before and after the treatment.Record the brain waves and the surface EMG of the study group before and after EEG biofeedback training.Comparative analyses at the end of the experiment.Results:1.Compared with the control group,the PANSS total scores decreased obviously in the study group,the differences are considered statistically,P<0.05.The positive symptoms were not released,the negative symptoms and a part of psychopathology symptoms resulted in partial remission,reduction rate≥25%,the differences are considered statistically.NOSIE Scale shows that in Social interest,Social competence,Personal cleanliness and sluggish,the study group improved better than the observation group,P<0.05,the differences are considered statistically.2.After the treatment,EEG alpha wave rise sharply,the power of the surface EMG declined.There was a significant inverse correlation between PANSS and NOISE,EEG alpha wave was inversely related to PANSS but was direct correlation with the surface EMG.NOSIE was inversely related to EEG alpha,but was positively correlated with the surface EMG disturbance.Concludes:1.The daily behavior,Social capacity,Emotional response can be increased by EEG biofeedback therapy.It could be released the sluggish symptom 、negative symptom and part of psychopathology symptom.2.The severity of psychiatric symptoms and daily function are connected with EEG alpha and surface EMG disturbance.The more serious the negative symptoms,the greater the damage to the function,and the amplitude of а wave shows flat.EEG biofeedback therapy are helpful adjuncts to the bad mood 、the control force of the muscle.The daily and social function for accepted schizophrenia could be improved.
