| Resin materials have been widely used in dentistry.In order to improve the property of resin,flowable resin materials with lower viscosity,good flexibility and wetting ability were developed.Being a new type of resin material,Constic flowable resin provides the function of etching and adhesive.In this study,the micro tensile strength was measured between flowable resin and dentin,and between flowable resin and temporary crown.Surface topography and failure mode were analyzed using a SEM and a stereoscopic light microscopy.The aim of this study was to investigate the bonding performance of Constic flowable resin,the related results would provide experimental evidence for clinical use.Part Ⅰ Analysis of bonding strength between Constic flowable resin and dentinObjectives:The purpose of this study was to investigate the micro tensile strength(μTBS)between Constic flowable resin and dentin.Methods:10 extracted premolars were cut with a low speed saw under copious water spray to remove the occlusal enamel and expose the dentin.A batch of bonding specimens in sizes of 10mm×1mm×1mm were prepared,each specimen was composed of Constic or Z350 flowable resin and dentin.All the bonding specimens were divided into 2 groups according to the resin used:A1(Constic)and B1(Z350).μTBS was tested by an universal testing machine.Modes of failure were observed by a stereoscopic light microscopy.Results:The average bonding strength of group A1(20.60±4.09 MPa)was lower than group B1(31.23±5.66MPa)(t=7.943,P<0.05).The failure mode was mainly adhesive mode for both the two groups.Conclusion:The bonding performanceof Constic flowable resin to dentin is not as well as Z350.Party Ⅱ I Analysis of bonding strength between Constic flowable resin and temporary crownObjectives:To investigate p,TBS between Constic flowable resin and temporary crown.Methods:Two kinds of resins,Constic(resin C)and Luxatemp(resin L),were combined into bonding specimens,which named group A2(C+L)and group C2(L+L).These bonding specimens were also prepared in size of 10mmxlmmx 1mm by a low speed saw under copious water spray.The bonding interface was conditioned just in the middle of each specimen made and was marked.μTBS of each bonding specimen was tested by an universal testing machine.Modes of failure were also observed by stereoscopic light microscopy.Results:The average bonding strength of group A2(56.39±3.67 MPa)showed no statistical difference from the one of group C2(58.27±4.32 MPa)(t=1.388,P>0.O5),and the failure mode was mainly adhesive mode for the both two groups.Conclusion:Constic flowable resin provided similar bonding performance to temporary crown with the temporary resin material itself. |
