Objective To investigate the status of cognition and behavior of non-emergency patients in emergency department,to understand the level and status of medical awareness,to analyze the influencing factors and the characteristics of different medical treatment.Methods A cross-sectional study was adopted,with the method of a convenient sampling,263 non-emergency patients from the emergency department of hospital in Wuhan.The study tools were designed for self-designed questionnaire,using SPSS22.0 for data descriptive analysis,single factor variance analysis,Pearson correlation analysis,chi square test,multiple linear regression analysis.Results1.The total score of emergency medical treatment of non-emergency patients(score rate)was 52.25 ± 4.890(65.3%),emergency medical knowledge,attitudes and perceptions were 21.20 ± 2.87(60.2%),14.63 ± 1.729(73.1%),16.52 ± 2.231(66%).2.Statistical significance was found in different age,educational level,occupation,monthly income,residence in the scores of the medical cognition(P < 0.01),Among them,the educational level and occupation were the main influencing factor of the cognition degree of the emergency medical treatment,which can explain the variation of cognition score by 29.5%.3.51% of the patients received random visits,and 49% of the patients received non-random visits.Among them,there were significant differences in the time of nonrandom visits(P < 0.01).4.36.5% non-emergency patients take the subway to the emergency department,46.8% non-emergency patients arrive at the emergency department within 30 minutes.5.Over the past year,the number of non-emergency patients to the emergency department is mainly concentrated in 2 to 3 times.6.Before emergency medical treatment,58.2% of non-emergency patients have not been to other places to seek medical treatment,few patients go to the community service center for medical treatment.7.The reason for non-emergency patients to go to emergency medical treatment is convenience(53.6%);74.5% non-emergency patients rely on their own knowledge and experience to judge medical treatment(74.5%);emergency medical resources were used for infusion(46.4%),blood(42.2%)and medicine(40.7%)Conclusion1.The level of cognition of emergency medical care for non-emergency patients is at a moderate to inferior level,and the attitude of emergency medical treatment is good,but there is also lack of knowledge of the medical knowledge,the views of non-emergency medical treatment there is a certain deviation.2.The main influencing factors of emergency medical treatment are education level and occupation.3.Non-emergency patients with different methods of payment and places of residence differ in their choice of non-random visits.4.Non-emergency patients arrive at the emergency room by subway;Most people reach the emergency department within 30 minutes;The number of visits to the emergency department is 2~3 times a year.5."Convenience" is the main factor in the consideration of medical treatment for non-emergency patients;Most patients lack access to relevant medical knowledge;The use of high proportion of emergency resources for infusion,blood,medicine.
