Objective: The purpose of this project is to let the diabetic patients to experience six types of diabetic chronic complications to feel the painful conditions through wearing diabetic complications simulation experience tools by early type 2 diabetic patients. That makes the patients change from passive learning into active learning to enhance self-control diet and disease monitoring awareness, control of the development of diabetes and complications, reduce the rate of diabetic rehospitalization, the incidence of complications, disability rate and mortality, thereby improving the patient’s quality of life, reducing the burden on the patient’s family and the cost of medical and health resources.Method: Select the hospitalized patients who initial diagnosis of type 2 diabetes from March 2016 to October 2017 in Endocrinology of the first affiliated hospital of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine. These patients were divided into experimental group and control group. The 37 patients of control group using conventional health education methods, the 40 patients of experimental group using coeducation methods on the basis of conventional health education combined with simulation experience tools of diabetic complications. The effectiveness evaluation of these two groups adopts investigation table and measured biochemical index before health education and 3 months after health education. The improvement results evaluation of diabetes knowledge,self-management of diabetes and self-efficacy in both groups.Physiological and biochemical indexes were evaluated: body mass index, blood glucose monitoring data and glycosylated hemoglobin.Results:(1)There is no statistic meaning for the difference before intervention with two group’s general survey data, score of diabetes knowledge scale,self-management of diabetes,self-efficacy and physiological and biochemical indexes(P>0.05).(2)Comparison inside two groups before and after intervention: The difference before and after intervention in patients inside the experimental group in physiological and biochemical indexes, total score on diabetes knowledge,self-management level and self-efficacy level aspects have statistical meaning(P<0.05).The difference before and after intervention in patients inside the control group in physiological and biochemical indexes, total score on diabetes knowledge,self-management level and self-efficacy level aspects have statistical meaning(P <0.05).(3)Comparison between two groups after intervention: After intervention, total score on diabetes knowledge,self-management and self-efficacy level in experimental group are better than those in control group(P<0.05),while BMI,fasting blood glucose,2-hour pos-tprandial blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin and other physiological and biochemical indexes have no statistical meaning(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)In patients with type 2 diabetes, more men than women, and the vast majority of male patients with type 2 diabetes have a bad habit of smoking and drinking, which shows that men have a higher incidence of type 2 diabetes than women; At the same time, the vast majority of patients with poor knowledge of diabetes, and in blood sugar,BMI and glycosylated hemoglobin control situation is not ideal.(2)The mode of health education had little effect on BMI,fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and Hb A1 c in the two groups, and failed to see the significant change of the physiological and biochemical indexes after the intervention.(3)From the comparison of total average score in the diabetes mellitus knowledge,self-behavior,self-efficacy aspects, this health education methods improved the level of patients in diabetes knowledge and self-management in varying degrees, indicating that diabetic complications simulation experience education tools is better than traditional health education methods, this health education method can improve the quality of life of patients.
