Objective: Evaluate the efficacy of levacarnitine in improving malnutrition in maintenance hemodialysis patients by meta analysis.Methods:Computer search for Pubmedus EMBASEN Cochrane Library,WIP,The database such as CNKI(from the time of retrieval to December2017)and the related literature on the treatment of malnutrition in maintenance hemodialysis patients by left carnitine in school library were searched by hand.Collection of the effects of leucarnitine on maintenance blood.A randomized controlled trial of malnutrition in patients with liquid dialysis,including levacarnitine,was used as the trial group.RCTs with routine or placebo therapy as control group,excluding malnutrition in non-maintenance hemodialysis patients.According to the data extraction form,the design features of the study,the baseline characteristics of the subjects and the albumin levels,prealbumin,total protein,transferrin,before and after treatment of the subjects were studied.Review Manager 5.3 software was used to analyze the data,? 2and I tests were used to judge the heterogeneity of the study,and the fixed effect model or random effect model was used to analyze the heterogeneity according to the heterogeneity.Results:A total of 1447 patients were enrolled in 24 eligible randomized controlled trials,including 1 in Chinese and 1 in Chinese,including 747 in the left carnitine group and 700 in the control group.Compared with the control group,levacarnitine could improve the albumin level of maintenance dialysis patients(P < 0.00001)and the total protein level of maintenance dialysis patients(P < 0.00001).Compared with the control group,levacarnitine could improve the total protein level of maintenance dialysis patients(P < 0.00),and the total protein level of maintenance dialysis patients was better than that of the control group(P < 0.00).In serum transferrin,compared with the control group,levacarnitine could improve the level of transferrin in maintenance dialysis patients(P <0.00001),compared with the control group,it could improve the level of prealbumin in maintenance dialysis patients(P < 0.00001),and compared with the control group,it could improve the level of prealbumin in maintenance dialysis patients(P < 0.00001).Conclusion:Levacarnitine can improve the levels of serum albumin,total protein,transferrin and preprotein in patients with maintenance hemodialysis.The conclusion of this study needs to be further verified by high-quality RCT studies.
