| Objectives:To investigate the status and the influence factors of condoms use of FSWs in work places of different grades of Enshi Prefecture in Hubei Province, therefore provide relevant theoretical basis for improving 100%condom use plans. Methods:The data was obtained through the AIDS sentinel surveillance system of FSWs monitoring data in Enshi Prefecture in 2015,which included 800 valid questionnaire data. The survey includes four aspects:demographic characteristics,HIV/AIDS-related knowledge and attitudes,HIV intervention, disease infected and condom use.SPSS19.0 was used for data analysis, including descriptive analysis, univariate analysis, and binary-logistic regression analysis.Results:(1)Social-demographic characteristics among FSWs in work places of different grades:there were 247,192,and 361 FSWs in the low、middle and high-grade work places, all of whom aged 17-53(26.33±7.12)years.Among all the participates, majority of the participates(77.12%)were under 29 years old,and in which group account for 88.40%of FSWs in high-grade work places. Most of the FSWs in low-grade and middle-grade places were high school or secondary school, accounting for 72.66%and 46.88%,respectively.53.20%of the high-grade places samples were educated for college and above.(2)HIV/AIDS-related knowledge and attitudes among FSWs in work places of different classes:The awareness rate of AIDS-related knowledge among FSWs in low-,middle-,and high-grade places was 97.17%,98.42%,and 98.57%,respectively;there were no significant differences in the awareness of AIDS among FSWs in the three grade places(p>0.05).(3)Condom use among FSWs in work places of different classes:In the low-,middle-,and high-grade places, the latest condom use rates for FSWs were 93.12%,97.40%,and 98.89%,respectively;the rate of consistent condom use each time in the most recent month was 86.23.%,91.15%,96.13%.there were statistically significant differences in condom use rates and consistently condemn use rates among FSWs in work places of different classes(whether use condoms in the last time sexy behavior:x2=15.888,p<0.05;whether consistently use condoms in the last month sexy behavior:x2=19.385,P<0.05).(4)The influencing factors of condom use in the last time sexy behavior among FSWs:Logistic regression analysis showed that age, education level,AIDS awareness, and workplaces were related to condom use in the last time sexy behavior.FSWs under 29 years old are more likely to use condoms than FSWs over 40 years old(OR=7.042,95%CI:2.201-22.53);and compared with FSWs with’high school and above,FSWs with junior high school education is less likely to use condoms(OR=0.094,95%CI:0.01-0.915);FSWs who didn’t know the HIV/AIDS-related knowledge were 0.118 times higher than those who knew(95%CI:0.018~0.754).Compared with FSWs without workplace,FSWs with workplaces in the province of this city have a lower rate of condom use in the most recent one-time behavior(OR=0.211,95%CI:0.063~0.703).(5)The influencing factors of consistently condoms use in the most recent month sexy behavior among FSWs:Logistic regression analysis showed that age, education level and awareness of AIDS were related to consistently condom use rate in the most recent month sexy behavior.FSWs under 29 years old are more likely to always use condoms than FSWs over 40 years old(OR = 3.463,95%CI:1.550~7.734);and compared with FSWs with college and above education,FSWs with the lower level of education is less likely to always use condoms the last month sexy behavior(high school or secondary school:OR=0.342,95%CI:0.154~0.762;junior high school and below:OR=0.143,95%CI:0.052~0.762);HIV/AIDS-related knowledge was associated with condom use frequency,FSWs who know the HIV/AIDS-related knowledge were 8.33 times higher to always use condom than those who didn’t knew(95%CI:0.032~0.451).Conclusions:(1)Condom use rate in the last time sexy behavior and consistently condom use rate in the most recent month sexy behavior both were high among FSWs in low-,middle-,and high-grade places, but consistently condom use rate among FSWs in low-grade work places is lower than that in FSWs in middle-and high-grade work places.(2)Age,education level, and awareness of AIDS-related knowledge was associated with condom use and consistently condom use among FSWs. |
