| Purpose:This study was conducted to investigate the regulating effect of Jianpi Yiqi Decoction proposed by Professor Shu Peng on the immune function of patients who had experienced colorectal cancer operation.The author adopt regression analysis to test the following dependent variables:immune index of patients,score of colorectal cancer clinical symptom and scores of quality of life.Methods:Research subjects of this study were patients who had been pathologically diagnosed with colorectal cancer and undergone surgery.62 medical records were collected from Jiangsu province hospital of Nanjing university hospital of traditional Chinese medicine translation and divided into two groups:experimental and control.Patients in the experimental group were treated with Jianpi Yiqi Decoction and Chemotherapy,while those in the control group were treated with chemotherapy only.Patients’ cellular immunity,colorectal cancer TCM clinical symptom scores and KPS scores were recorded three times respectively-pretreatment,after 6rd cycle and 12th cycle of chemotherapy.Data collected was analyzed by using medical statistics methods and evaluation of efficacy was given afterwards according to the analysis results.Results:1.Comparison between absolute values of T lymphocyte subsets:There is no significant difference between absolute counts of T lymphocyte subsets(CD3,CD4,CD8)before treatment in both experimental group and control group(P<0.05).2.Comparison between the absolute value of T lymphocyte subsets before and after treatment:There is no significant difference found between absolute counts of T lymphocyte subsets(CD3,CD4,CD8)of patients in the pretreatment stage and after 6th cycle of chemotherapy in both experimental and control groups(P<0.05).3.Comparison of 3T lymphocyte subsets:When comparing the medical results of patients after 6th and 12th cycle of treatments,the absolute counts of CD3 and CD4 in the experimental group was found to decrease less significantly,and CD8 increase less significantly,than those in the control group(all P<0.05).Specially,the ratio between CD4 and CD8 of patients in experimental group was found increasing after both 1st and 2nd cycle of treatments,and the increasing range of CD4/CD8 was found more significantly after 12tj cycle than that after 6th cycle.On contrary,the ratio of between CD4 and CD8 of patients in control group was found decreasing significantly after 6th cycle of treatment,and that after 12th cycle treatment was higher than 6th cycle.4.Comparison of clinical symptoms of colorectal cancer:The scores of pain and diarrhea in the experimental group were found significantly lower than those in the control group after two cycles of treatment(P<0.05);Significant difference was not found between fatigue and anorexia scores of patients in experimental group and those of patients in control group(P>0.05).However,the fatigue and anorexia scores of patients in experimental group were significantly lower than those of patients in control group(P<0.05).There is no significant difference between the scores of tastelessness in the mouth and not thirsty and the scores of bowel sound of patients in experimental group and control group(P>0.05).However,the clinical symptoms of colorectal cancer on patients were significantly improved in experimental group after treatments(P<0.05),and the difference is more salient after 12th cycle of treatment(P=0.01).5.Comparison of physical status:after the sixth cycle of treatment,the KPS score in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group,and the KPS score differences between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Jianpi Yiqi Decoction has regulating effect on the immune function of postoperative patients with colorectal cancer chemotherapy.It improves the common clinical symptoms of postoperative patients with colorectal cancer and their life quality. |
