Study On Risk Factors With The Occurrence Of The Mesh Erosion After Pelvic Floor Reconstruction

Objective: To study risk factors with the occurrence of the mesh erosion after pelvic floor reconstruction.Methods:Data of 210 patients who underwent vaginal Gynemesh mesh pelvic floor reconstruction from Jun.2012 to Dec.2017 in Nanjing First Hospital was analyzed retrospectively.The risk factors associated with the mesh erosion were studied by single factor and multiple factors logistic regression.Results:It was found that the erosion rate was 6.3%(13/210)after postoperative follow-up to now.Single factor analysis showed that age,parity and BMI had a significant correlation(all P<0.05)with the occurrence of the mesh erosion after pelvic floor reconstruction.Multiple factors logistic regression analysis showed that age(OR=1.002)and BMI(OR=4.8)were the independent risk factors.Conclusions :Mesh erosion is a common complication after pelvic floor reconstruction.Old age,multiple delivery and BMI are the risk factors of mesh erosion.Preoperative full assessment and the quality of training contribute to reduce the incidence.
