Relationship Between Red Blood Cell Distribution Width And Peripheral Vascular Function In Patients With Essential Hypertension

Objective:To investigate the correlation between erythrocyte distribution width(RDW)and peripheral vascular function in patients with essential hypertension(EH).Method:Choose the 800 cases of patients with essential hypertension who in the first affiliated hospital of Xinjiang medical university hospital from January 2016 to January 2017,according to the level of RDW quartile on admission,the 800 patients with essential hypertension were divided into: 195 cases of group A(RDW≤11.9),211 cases of group B(11.9<RDW≤13.6),203 cases of group C(13.6<RDW≤15.5),191 cases of group D(15.5<RDW).Collect clinical general information,measure blood pressure,glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),uric acid(UA),blood lipid,serum creatinine(SCr),urine microalbumin(UMA),and other laboratory index,measure the carotid intima-media thickness(cIMT),brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity(baPWV),comparing the difference between the groups of patients with peripheral vascular function index.Result:From group A to group D,with RDW increased step by step,the baPWV,UMA,cIMT and plaque detection detectable rate was gradu ally increasing,and the four groups of baPWV were :(1242.6±118.7)cm/s,(1435.8±105.6)cm/s,(1563.2±154.5)cm/s,(1887.4±182.7)cm/s;The four groups of UMA were :(13.74±3.42)mg,(33.75±9.65)mg,(56.63±12.90)mg,(89.15±15.49)mg;Four groups of cIMT and plaque detection rate:[(0.72±0.13)mm,15.4%],[(0.89±0.20)mm,32.1%],[(1.05±0.15)mm,49.6%],[(1.34±0.18)mm,65.2%],the difference between the four groups of baPWV,UMA,cIMT and plaque detection rat e was statistically significant(all P<0.05),and group D of baPWV,UMA,cIMT and plaque detection rate was significantly higher than group A,B,C;Group C of baPWV,UMA,cIMT and plaque detection rate was significantly higher than group A,B;Group B of baPWV,UMA,cIMT and plaque detection rate was significantly higher than group A,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),the correlation analysis of RDW and baPWV,UMA,cIMT and plaque detection rate were positively correlated(r=0.189,P=0.000;r=0.357,P=0.0036;r=0.221,P=0.002;rs=0.315,P=0.013).Conclusion:The RDW of patients with essential hypertension was positively correlated with UMA,cIMT,baPWV,and increased peripheral blood vessel stiffness and decreased vascular function in patients with increased RDW.
