The Investigation Of The Present Situation Of Nurses’ KAP In Cardiology Department Of Tertiary Hospitals In Gansu Province

Objective:To investigate continuity nursing knowledge,attitude and practice(KAP)of nurses in cardiology department among tertiary hospitals in Gansu province,analysis the impact factors,and put forward feasible suggestions,so as to cause the attention of nurses and the relevant departments,and provide reference and basis to make nurse training plans and continue nursing care countermeasures for the administrator.Methods:With a method of cluster random sampling,questionnaires were distributed to216 nurses working in cardiology department of eight public comprehensive tertiary hospitals in Gansu province.The continue nursing KAP questionnaire was used after the reliability and validity being tested,and we delivered both face-to-face and online surveys.SPSS17.0 package was used for data analysis.The frequency and percentage was used to describe the general characteristics and the way of continuity care,and for the scores of knowledge,attitude and practice,mean ± standard deviation was used.Statistical methods included K-S test,t-test,variance analysis and LSD-t test.P < 0.05 shows statistically significant.Results:1.All of the 8 hospitals set up outpatient follow-up,among them,6 added telephone follow-up,only 1 hospitals carry out the network follow-up.2.The mean score of continuity nursing knowledge,attitude and practice is respectively:27.11±4.44、55.46±2.33、26.57±2.43,while the knowledge and practice in the poor level and attitude in the medium level.3.Before a certain age(31-35)or length of service(6-10 years for knowledge,11-20 years for attitude and practice),the continuity nursing knowledge level is negatively correlated with the time factor,while attitude and practice level are positively correlated,at the rest time,knowledge、attitude and practice level keep stable,no statistical difference.The higner the title is,the higher the attitude and behavior score is,in the knowledge dimension,nurse-in-charge and above scored significantly lower than the nurse.From technical secondary school,college toundergraduate course,with the improvement of the first degree level,the knowledge score is higher,but no obvious difference was found between bachelor’s and master’s group,and no obvious relationship between the first degree and attitude and behavior.In terms of the highest degree,master’s degree gets a higher score in all of the knowledge,attitude and behavior dimensions,and there is no significant differences between group of technical secondary school,college and bachelor degree.4.Tertiary hospitals of the ministry of health gets higher scores(27.98±2.87 、56.54±1.59、27.72±2.82)than provincial tertiary hospitals(26.21±5.50、54.34±2.46、25.39±1.98)in knowledge、attitude and practice dimensions,there’s statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.As a whole,the level of nurses in cardiology department among tertiary hospitals in Gansu province is low,and medical institutions and health authorities should pay more attention to improve their continuity nursing skills.2.All of the factors(age,seniority,title,degree)have impact on continuity nursing level,medical institution should formulate the corresponding training measures for different groups,specificate the training system,and enhance the level of education.3.There’s obvious difference between nurses of cardiology department in different levels of tertiary hospitals in Gansu province,we need to strengthen the exchange of information between medical institutions,and deliver professional training step by step,so as to improve the level of continuity nursing in different regions simultaneously.4.The way of continuity care in Gansu province is not rich enough,we need to create a diversified way of continuity care,and improve patient engagement.
