Han Shaogong is the 1980’s "roots" literature creation, has maintained a strong creative force. From the first novel published so far, Han Shaogong for readers created one impressive figure, full of beautiful humanity’s good, is filled with selfishness of human nature ugly bad, numbness of ignorant fools and ordinary Suishun secular toiling masses. The research focus of this thesis is the incomplete characters in Han Shaogong’s novels.The article is divided into three parts to discuss:In Chapter 1, the Han Shaogong’s novels all incomplete people are classified and analyzed, from the physical level is divided into: deaf, paralytic, sterile type, the lame type; from the spiritual level is divided into: type mentally handicapped, fetish, trance, anxiety. By analyzing the performance and characteristics of each image, we can grasp the meaning of the author’s characters, and understand the main purpose of the novel.The second chapter is on the shaping root of incomplete characters and motivation of study, root of creation from the writer suffering of life experience and the western literature; creative motivation is revealed to the history and culture of the deep-rooted bad habits of the depths of human anatomy and reflection of modern civilization.The third chapter mainly explores how to shape the image of the incomplete figure. The use of Hunan dialect, unique witch thinking, throughout the underlying metaphor, let this kind of characters in the novel is more unique.
