| Hu Mingyu was a famous scholar in Qing dynasty,and Ding e za lu written by him was a distinctive textology book.This book,also can be regarded as a book of note,mainly aimed to correct the incorrect pronounces and spellings of some words and phrases which were widely used by then.Hu Mingyu was sophisticated in text research;in the meanwhile,he was rigorous and serious-minded.In the book,he used a large variety of traditional textual research methods,including collating,explanation and so on.By referring to other kinds of textures,which included ancient books,poems,academic notes,as well as stone carvings;and by tracing the origins,he gave each word he corrected a sound explanation.Some of the contents in Ding e za lu was widely cited as evidence by many scholars,but a thorough research on this book was hardly see.It was pointed out that there existed shortcomings of parts correcting and some words he corrected are still misused.Overall,his book is of high academic value,so this thesis analyzes the content of the book and methods he used,with hope that it can benefit the promoting of the study of Hu Mingyu’s academic characteristics and its value. |
