The Art Features And The Singing Study Of Shanxi Ballad

The Shanxi ballad is an indispensable part of Shanxi folk songs with its sweet sounds and numerous varieties. It was also known as sour songs since the people in Shanxi loved acetum. This thesis takes a few ballads as study targets such as Tan Jing’s ’Red cock with feathers leg’ fashion in north Shanxi, Yan Weiwen’s ’Qin Ge Dan wash clothes in river’fashion in middle Shanxi and the army’s ’ Dream, dream’ fashion in south Shanxi. Through the studing and singing of these representative songs, this thesis states the art features in different areas of Shanxi and studies the singing skills. This statement is divided into three parts including the music analysis, the lyrics appreciation and the singing processing. Above all these analysis and study, the development and change of Shanxi ballad will be concluded to show its evolutive direction, inheritance and innovation to promote the times.
