A Study On The Development Of The Chinese Affix Tou (?) And The Diachronic Change Of Its Productivity

This paper based on the recognized Chinese noun affix TOU as the research object,in stages describe the affixation process.Describe and analyze the productivity changes of the structures which related to the affix TOU during different period.Research focuses on describing and analyzing TOU by word to compound word roots,and by compound word roots to the derivative of the evolution revealing TOU with the meaning of the affixation process evolution,the integrated use of a variety of measurement methods of productivity,inquires into the affix TOU.This paper mainly includes three parts: the first part summarizes the research status of Chinese affix and lexical productivity new progress in measurement,and explained the research ideas and significance of this paper;The second part is the paper main body,which divided into four chapters: chapter 2 describe and analysis the evolution of TOU from word to compound word composition;Chapter 3 discuss TOU from within the compound word composition to the evolution of the derivative affix;Chapter 4 discusses the affix TOU compose the maturity and development of the process;Chapter 5 the productivity change of the affix TOU and some relevant discussion about affixation.The third part is the conclusion,mainly carried out on the above research conclusion.Through the affix TOU compose the formation process and productivity quantitative measurement,we consider that the affix TOU compose in the Eastern Han Dynasty,development in Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasty,mature in the Tang Dynasty,decay time for the 20 th century;Its productivity has a downward trend overall,although there are small fluctuations in the process of change,but does not affect the overall changes trend;The evolution of TOU from a word to the cell adhesion affix is the result of lexicalization.
