Study On Character Shaping Of Figure In Family Drama

In recent years,with flourishing economy and rapidly developing society,people’s demand on TV series increases and the requirements for them also become higher.Since family drama,close to common people’s life and easy to understand for its content,can reflect many hot topics in our life,receiving affections from more and more audiences and becoming a common type of drama in China’s television works.Figure is the soul of family drama and the character shaping of figure is crucial.In the paper,according to the graduate project Blind Date,it deeply explored character shaping of figure in the family drama and the way of character shaping.With a large number of examples,the application of personal character shaping in family dramas is specifically analyzed.Only a few of previous studies focused on the concept of family drama and also were not clear and definite.The present paper specially introduced concept,feature,classification,practical significance and existing limitation of family drama in the introduction part.Family drama,a sort of art form which expresses its main idea by creating figures and presenting plots,comes from life and takes family members as major objects of narration,family ties as main conflicts and family emotion as principal narration climax.Through inductive analysis of many excellent television works,it is concluded that family drama is characterized by the realistic topics,affinity with people,secularization,mainstream values and traditional virtues and so on.According to different topics,family drama falls into several types:love and marriage,the life of nobodies,the rise and fall of families as well as impressive kinships.Although family drama is flourishing at present,it also shows boundedness like serious homogenization phenomena,being fond of expressing unhealthy emotions and exaggerating conflicts,which should be evaded and improved during our creation.Figures can be said the priority among priorities in family drama.A screenplay without reasonable personal character shaping can’t be excellent.Personal character plays an important role in family dramas to promote plot development,sharpen contradiction and make the drama classic,as some critical figure in that can drive or even change the development direction of plot sometimes.It can be seen that the character shaping in family drama is decisive,which is also the meaning of this research paper.As for the methods for character shaping,in the paper,the application of details and sounds in personal character shaping is classified and explained,as the details part includes manners,appearance and motion,specifically falling into expressions,meaningful glance,micro-expressions,makeup and hair model,clothing,ornamentals and movement.The part of sounds contains lines,background music and sound effect,as their functions are elaborated and explained.For example,the lines should be designed to conform to personal character;actors should try to figure out figures’ feelings when express lines;background music is supposed to present the overall scene of people in a specific time background,set off the environmental atmosphere during figures’ emotional outburst and reflect their inner world;sound effect is supposed to show real figures in dynamic states.Although the paper only explained details and sound,it actually included a wide range of content and each subclass had examples during the interpretation.The paper mainly deepened the exploration on method and function of above mentioned two parts in practical application.The meticulous classifications,detailed examples and strong applicability in it will provide some guiding significance for writers.Closely centering on graduate design Blind Date,the paper analyzed main figures in the work from the manifestation,shaping method,forming causes and role and effect of character on figure relation systematically and thoroughly.Every typical character in the graduation work is arranged with my own research theories.As representative personal characters in life,they are on behalf of real living conditions of some people and can be seen everywhere in our life,which is also the practical significance of this research paper.Those fresh figure images are researched rationally in this paper,providing some help for us deeply understanding family drama and figures in it.
