In November 1988,a far-reaching "paper-cut art exhibition" was held in the National Art Museum of China.And its founder was the first Chinese ’folk art graduate student,Mr.Lv Shengzhong.He put the blood of contemporary art implanted into the traditional folk art,so that the ancient art regained new vigor and vitality.At the time this bold innovation triggered a great upsurge in the art circle,followed by artists to emulate.Then a host of "folk style" works emerged continuously.The modeling of folk art is the ancient Chinese culture precipitation,the collective aesthetic awareness in rural area of China under the collective specific social and cultural background,and a unique way of thinking and modeling consciousness.The folk art has a "whim" of creative thinking,"subjective images" modeling,the way of observing of "I" in the picture,the creation mode of integrated space-time,all-directional and multi-angle performance modeling provides a source of inspiration for Chinese ink painting artists.Based on the modeling of folk art,they inherit essence and fantastical innovation to improve the technical content and the creation of performance language in Chinese ink painting.On the basis of the pivotal role in folk art form,as well as a growing number of Chinese ink painting artists to its favor and attention,the in-depth discussion and research of this subject has important theoretical value and practical significance.
