Experimental Research On The Tones Of Guilin Dialect

Guilin is located in northeastern of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,Guilin Dialect is belonged to the Gui Liu fraction of the Southwestern Mandarin. In the past,the scholars research the tones of the Guilin dialect with the tradional dialectology invesitigation method which get few result in experimental phonetics.Based on this situation,this dissertation will analysis monosyllabic tone and disyllable tone patterns with the use of the Praat 5.3.3 software by experimental method.In this way to get a comprehensive and deep understanding of Guilin Dialect.There are 5 parts in this dissertation:The first part is the introduction which is including the existing study of the dialect researching with the method of experimental and the plan of this dissertation.The second part is the Experimental Research on the monosyllabic tone of Guilin Dialect from the pitch and the length these two perspective.The study of this part including the model of the monosyallabic tone,the distribution of the four tones,the length pattern of the monosyallabic tone and the all above study would be compare with the traditional dialect conclusion and this new result.The third part is the Experimental Research on the disyllabic tone of Guilin Dialect from the pitch and the length these two perspective. The study of this part including the model of the disyallabic tone,the tone combination and the tonal varity which will result in researching on the disyallabic tone modification pattern. and the all above study would be compare with the traditional dialect conclusion and this new result.The fourth part is the conclusion to conclude the all achievement about this dissertation.
