Research On The Overlapped Words In The Yuan Qu Xuan

This paper is based on the linguistic data of the Yuan Qu Xuan,we cite the kinds of words which in the form of ten overlapped ways such as AA, AB, AAA,ABB, AAB,ABCC, AABC, AABB, ABAC, ABCD,and this paper takes these kinds of words as the the contends, the development and generation of the overlapped words in the Yuan Qu Xuan are studied profoundly by observing, describing and analyzing. During this study,we find that the analogy and the reanalysis are the important generative mechanism of the overlapped words.This paper designs in six segments, the first one is the introduction of it, which introduces the definition of the overlapped words,the summary of the studies about the overlapped words of ancient Chinese language and the methods of this study.The second part talks about the characteristics of the overlapped words in the Yuan Qu Xuan,this study is helpful to the latter. The third part classifies the overlaps of the Yuan Qu Xuan based the qualitative diagnosis and quantitative diagnosis, there are three criterion in this classification such as the syllables, structures and semantics.The fourth one introduces the development of these overlapped words about the time of they had started to be overlapped, the methods of they chose to be overlapped, the abundant data from the ancient literature is quoted, and it chooses and analyzes some representatives to illustrate the fact of the development of the overlaps. The fifth part researches how the overlaps could be overlapped in the ways of syllables, grammar and semantics, for example,the AA,ABB,AABB,AB,ABCD,which finds that the analogy and the reanalysis are the important generative mechanism of the overlapped words.The sixth one is the conclusion of this paper,and there is also advancing some new proposals about how to research the overlapped words in the Yuan Qu Xuan in other ways in future.
