There are many excellent Tibetan genre films being emerged since 2000, Tibetan films began to further development at the same time. In addition to the Han nationality directors continue to create many great films; there have been many Tibetan local directors appeared during this period, which express the minority culture in their own way. Domestic Tibetan films got more diverse interpretations since then. Under this background, the research of the connotation and artistic features of Tibetan films has important theoretical value and guiding significance.There are lots of opinions about the definition "Tibetan films" in the academia. This paper on the basis of the previous article summarized, to define the concept follow the view of "Theme say" of Rao Shuguang. Under the premise, scope of research object in this paper has been limited by consulting the revelent material. Studying the evolution of domestic Tibetan films, summarizing the development characteristics, is help to the overall understanding of domestic Tibetan Films in the process of history. Dividing film into three categories main melody film, commercial film and literary film in the perspective of culture, which is conducive to have a clear comprehension about the development of Tibetan films present on the lateral. Tibetan culture has a long history, it’s very extensive and profound, and the regional, national and epochal character has the eternal charm.The particularly prominent theme of film is the interpretation and transmission about Tibetan Buddhist spiritual in the new century. Studying how Tibetan Buddhism became the spiritual subject of the movie based on the vision of love and the view of life and death. New century domestic Tibetan Films present unique picture and sound features on the art, the using of lens and color, as well as the applying of music and language is also presented unique "Tibetan".
