A Study Of The Development Of The Internet Culture From The Perspective Of The Socialist Core Values

The Internet culture, an unprecedented culture type, is closely related to the continuous development of the information technology and the network technique. As a new cultural phenomenon, the phenomenon of the ugliness appreciation on the Internet has already attracted broad attention in the world in recent years. Since it has multiple social effects, especially the negative effect on the socialist core values, it is necessary for us to figure out causes, the status quo and solutions of it.Based on 594 questionnaires about the phenomenon of the ugliness appreciation on the Internet, this thesis defines the phenomenon of the ugliness appreciation on the Internet and analyses manifestations and the status quo of it. It is shown that there are four characteristics of the phenomenon of the ugliness appreciation on the Internet, including entertaining contents, grass-root creators, the interactivity and the uncontroliability. Based on the relevant theories of psychology and communications, this thesis is aimed to reveal reasons of the prevalence of the phenomenon of the ugliness appreciation on the Internet so as to figure out effective solutions. There are four solutions to develop the Internet culture. First, intensify the management mechanism and promote the legal construction. Second, step up guidance based on the socialist core values and practise the socialist core values actively. Third, promote and develop the mainstream culture. The mainstream media should play an affirmative role. Fourth, promote the moral cultivation of netizens, cultivate the media literacy of netizens.
