In the various types of ceramics in the Tang Dynasty,the flower wares in the Tang dynasty which born in Lushan county of Henan province is the earliest discovered high temperature variable glaze porcelain in China.Since the flower wares specimens were found in the 1960s,there are many academic researches of flower wares in the Tang dynasty.On the basis of predecessors’ research results,this paper tried to use image study method to summarize and interpret the aesthetics characteristic of flower wares in the tang dynasty comprehensively and deeply.Previous ceramic aesthetics researches based on form difference as the thread of the research,so what we see is a form of art appreciation level analysis.Image study which is focused on the work of art conveys the complete cultural information studies the artist in the local real psychology in the process of aesthetic creation and practical purposes,etc firstly and is interested in image reproduction and transmission way.Ceramic aesthetics research need to pay attention to the relationship between ceramic art and commodity economy,the political center,geographical environment,race,age,raw materials,and so on,then make a thorough and systematic research and summarize the rules to rise to the theory of the system.This article used the literature research method,enumeration,contrast,fieldwork method,image study methods,form analysis and cultures of the methods.This article started with the concrete historical situation of flower wares in the Tang dynasty of different site and tested types and styles of different regions in characteristics and transverse comparison.To fully explore its modelling from the perspective of image analysis and aesthetic characteristics of glaze color,then return to the field of vision.Study on MeiGuoJian flower porcelain with image analysis,and then reflect on the contemporary breakthrough of flower porcelain in the tang dynasty aesthetics.Flowers wares in the Tang dynasty porcelain aesthetic image study research perspectives has theoretical value and practical significance for the contemporary breakthrough of ceramic aesthetics and history of Chinese ceramics using the modern aesthetic theory perspective research methods.First of all make the pre-iconography description for modelling and color images of flower wares in the Tang dynasty,and combined with the use of formal analysis:Modelling characteristics,analyze the different site spend in tang dynasty porcelain modelling category and overall modelling;In Ikonographische Analyse stage,to identify the theme and subject matter of modelling and color images based on the historical documents.The third level of Ikonologie is Ikonologische Interpretation which is making the interpretation of inner meaning for modelling and color images of flower wares in the Tang dynasty.In the cultural,social and historical context,to explore the potential symbolic significance and cultural connotation is to elucidate core culture significance and spirit of the age.The reality investigation for the contemporary innovation of the flower wares in the Tang dynasty make imitation and innovation of the flower wares in the Tang dynasty by MEI Guo-jian as the research focus.The profound analysis of artistry and ideological content for his works help to think about how to reappear the "reproduction" in the contemporary ceramic art creation so that we can achieve the highest level of "reproduction".
