As the saying goes "seeing is believed,listening to the sounds for virtual",how can we believe in "saw".However,sometimes,eyes couldn’t reflect the truth of the objective things faithfully,this is optical illusion cause trouble at work.Whether graphic design,product design,interior design,costume design and stage effect,etc.,the principle of visual illusion were widely used in the modern art design.Based on the specialty for the starting point of advertising.Now rapid development of new media,as a advertising practitioner if you want to get a new concept of visual communication,you must improve your design ideas constantly,keep up with the current that social culture phenomenon,only in this way you can catch people’s attention preferable.In this case,the optical illusion as particular visual phenomena.With its unique technique of expression and the characteristics of interest to stand out.And they cause strong visual impact to the people,by the majority of designers.Optical illusion as a unique art form can always with concise graphic shows the level of the changeable and uncertain spatial relationship.Through fresh graphics organization relationship to attract the public eye,and it can provide with the space of unlimited associate to viewers.constructing a distinctive design effect.At the same time it stimulated interest in art and design greatly.In this paper,the author choose starting from the basic principle of optical illusion,analysis the reasons,by deepening the understanding of the visual illusion with typical cases,summed up the visual illusion to the effects of visual communication design,the graduation design of the author in the future to give correct guidance.
