The Research Of Literature Concerning Taoism Ritual During The Period Of The Northern Dynasties

Taoism has rised from the civil society since the Eastern Han Dynasty, and developed rapidly to the quasi-state religion status until the Northern Dynasties. This is not only reflected in the growing number of Taoists and Taoist temples,the rich sound of doctrines and canons,the organizational form, but also in the support of the rulers and the improvements of the Taoist status. Comparing with the same period of the Southern Dynasties Taoism, the Northern Dynasties Taoism pay more attention to the reform and improve of Taoist ritual, and promote the rapid development of the Northern Dynasties Taoist ceremony. Coupled with the literati acceptance of Taoism and extensive exchanges with priests, resulting in abundant literatures on Taoist ceremony. Therefore, this paper mainly research the Northern Dynasties Taoist ceremony literature.The thesis is divided into six parts.The first part is an introduction. Briefly describes the significance value of the topics, the relevant research status, the expectations and theoretical methods adopted by the theory.The second part is the first chapter of this paper, mainly introduces the cultural background of the Northern Dynasties Taoist ritual. This chapter is divided into three sections to illustrate. First of all, illustrate the current situation and the reasons that the Taoism rapidly development in the Northern Dynasties. Secondly, for the Northern Dynasties Taoist ritual content, expanding from the reform of the Taoist ritual by Kou Qianzhi and the Taoist ritual content in "Wu Shang Mi Yao". Finally, study the relations between Northern Dynasties Taoist ritual and literature, so as to explain the possibility and necessity why the Northern Dynasties Taoist ritual literature generated.The third part is the second chapter, mainly research Northern Dynasties Taoist ritual literature. Firstly investigate the basic condition and coverage of the Northern Dynasties Dynasty Taoist ritual literature documents. Then carding and research the items and contents of the Northern Dynasties Taoist ritual Literature.The fourth part is the third chapter, mainly analyze the implication of Northern Dynasties Taoist ritual literature. First of all, sort out that the form of Northern Dynasties Taoist ritual literature is usually presented by incantation, secondly analyze the ideologies in incantations, and finally probe the images and the aesthetic implication in incantations of the Northern Dynasties Taoist ritual literature.The fifth part is the fourth chapter, analyze the literature features of Northern Dynasties ritual literature. First analyze the artistic features, then probe the language features, at last explain the "Buxvci" creation by the unique scholars representative of Yu Xin.The sixth part is the conclusion of this paper, summarize the main content of this paper. Point out that in the context of the rapid development of Northern Dynasties Taoism, studying the overall characteristics of the Northern Taoist ritual literature from ideas, content, themes, imagery, language, style and so on. Not only contribute to the further understanding of the Northern literature and Taoism, but also more conducive to deeply grasp the historical discipline of Taoist literature.
