After the founding of new China in 1949, due to be highly recognized by the government, the media and actively adopt. "Publicity painting" to replace the word "poster", become a surface printing art propaganda the main title. In the 50’s to 80’s of the 20 th century, Chinese unknown words account for more than 90 percent and posters in the Chinese social, political, the people living in a far-reaching effect tremendous, publicity pictures is particularly important.Compared with traditional gardening and the literati landscape painting can be traced to the same origin, the connotation of Chinese modern landscape architecture and painting association appeared "dating" phenomenon. It provides a new research field of vision and research methods for the non professionals to construct the landscape from the perspective of propaganda painting. Through the analysis of landscape pattern and spatial layout of the image, the origin of "landscape theory" in modern China is traced back to the way of "drawing history cross syndrome".Taking during 1949-1989 published themes related to "landscape" and described "garden scene" posters as the main object of study, the accumulation and summary of existing research results based on the literature research method, dialectical analysis method, deductive and inductive method and comparative study method, focusing mainly on the following content: China modern posters of the origin and development of landscape architecture outlined in the course of;(2) each time propaganda paintings depict the garden scene analysis;(3) propaganda painting landscape schema language analysis; and(4) the public to understand the landscape.Article in accordance with the law of development of history will be 40 years this is divided into five periods:(1) the beginning of the founding of new China(1949-1957);(2) during the great leap forward(1958-1960);(3) national economic adjustment period(1961-1965);(4) of the Cultural Revolution and post(1966-1978); fifth, reform and opening up ten years(from 1979 to 1989). Horizontal combined with political and social background of comparative analysis of the development process of the posters and garden, vertical to the representatives of each period make a specific analysis, comparison and summary of the ideal garden form propaganda paintings in different periods of garden elements, space construction and in the eyes of the public and mapped out non professionals understand the garden of the mass.
