In the Renaissance, Venetian School based on tempera paintings, extend painting characteristics, and made brilliant achievements in the tone modeling method. Furthermore, it also made enormous influence in the subsequent history of oil painting development. Firstly, this paper started from the Renaissance, described the development of the Venice School and the main characteristic oil painting color performance. This paper attempts to understand the works in the original context of artistic significance and spirit of the Venetian School, which will be combined with the religious, political, and social culture, the artist's conception and status together at the time. From the more famous Venetian representatives artists, including Giovanni- Bellini, Giorgione, Titian, Paul Veronese, Tintoretto each painting characteristics gradually extended to the artistic features of the Venetian school. and through contrast the Florentine with the Venetian School of painting art characters to highlight the characteristics, and to describe the five representatives of the Venice School artists' style change continuously. Thus the Venice School became the ultimate achievement and a milestone in the Renaissance in Italy, and made significant influence on the realistic paintings of the seventeenth century, even for the future development of oil painting.
