| Israel Epstein is a special international friends, who was born in the Netherlands and settled in China with their parents from his childhood. After the liberation of Chinese nationality, he became a member of Chinese Communist Party, and had a deep love with China. Epstein had been in China twice. For the first time in China during the period1917 and 1944,China was in the volatile situation and the society needs to change. In his capacity as reporter, he involved in the whole war process of the Chinese nation,witnessed the difficult process of the Chinese people’s victory in the war by the Japanese fascist aggression, and made a great contribution for the Chinese people to fight for national independence and liberation. As a war correspondent, Epstein investigated both the frontal battlefield and the behind enemy lines battlefield, he carried out a detailed study of the Chinese army and how the people to against Japanese fascist war. Through the interview of the communist troops, allowing him to have a more objective understanding of the CCP. In knowledge of the facts, based on the analysis of different functions in the course of the war of resistance and the different stages of the KMT and the CPC, he has made his own judgments of China and the international situation, he thought the final winner in this war must be Chinese people, and after the war, a new China will established by the Communist Party. These views reflected in his writings which played an extremely important role in the Chinese Anti-Japanese War.In this paper, starting from the writings of Epstein,studies Epstein’s perception of the Kuomintang and the communist party during the Anti-Japanese War and his judgment of the situation of the Chinese revolution,concluded Epstein great contributions to the Chinese revolution. At the same time, seek to combine Epstein individual’s unique lifeexperiences, analyze the reasons that why he has a strong Chinese complex, and summarize the practical significance of his spirit. |
