Cultural and creative enterprises is a new type of business, it has been growing with the development of knowledge economy. At the beginning of the new century, all the countries began to change their development way to resource intensive low-carbon way. Because of the low energy consumption and high value-added products, cultural and creative enterprises become vigorously developing all over the world, it is a new breakthrough for the growth of the economy, which has even greatly promoted the economic development of the whole world, especially in the developed countries, the cultural and creative enterprises grow rapidly that some of this enterprises are in lager-scale with strong competitive power. In China, the cultural and creative enterprises have just started, but policies supporting and actively learning from foreign companies make our company grow up rapidly. This paper selects 198 listed cultural and creative enterprises as the research sample, using the financial data disclosure on annual report to analysis performance, proposing upgrade strategy in order to improve the innovation capability and international competitiveness of Chinese cultural and creative enterprises.This article mainly uses the literature research method, the quantitative analysis method and the case analysis method to carry on the comprehensive research to the cultural and creative enterprise’s innovation. Through quantitative analysis combined with literature to know Chinese culture and creative listed enterprises’ present situation, selecting three enterprises in-depth analysis to find problems, and finally propose some suggestions. This paper is divided into six parts. The first chapter introduces the research background and significance, describing the research content and research methods. The second chapter is the literatures review about the definition and classification of the cultural and creative industry; the innovation and upgrade strategy; performance evaluation of the listed corporation. The third chapter defines the cultural and creative enterprises, analyzing the characteristics of cultural and creative enterprises and listing Corporation. The fourth chapter and the fifth chapter are the core of this paper. The fourth chapter analyzes the performance according industry, ownership and whole cultural and creative industry from profitability, earnings quality, capital operation ability and growth ability. In the fifth chapter, we classify and identify the typical companies, analyze the operating conditions and problems of the typical companies. The sixth chapter is the last part of the article, according to the results of above analysis suggested upgrade strategy, and summed up the shortcomings and prospects of this study.The conclusion is that listed companies of cultural and creative in China are characterized by relatively smaller scale; general profitability; the main business market competitiveness is not strong; low total assets profit ability; imbalance scale; scientific and technological innovation capability is not strong. As the fundamental driving force for the survival and development of cultural and creative enterprises, the innovation of Chinese cultural and creative enterprises is imminent. At last, I propose to upgrade business process, management ability of capital operation and innovation ability of core business.
