The Distinctiveness Of Representation And Extraction About Emotional Words False Memory Under DRM Paradigm

Different emotion words do great promotion about memory, but there is separation between different valences, negative words enlarge memory false, positive words restrain memory false. False memory is a specific kind of memory false, different valence still have different effection, negative words influence false memory and positive words inhibition.In the experiment, it holds 3 tasks with emotional words, we used DRM paradigm to investgated wheather positive words have verbatim advantage and negative words have gist advantage; the difference between the merchandise of moniting of different emotion words.Experient 1 adopted literal judgment task, required testee having verbatim process towards study word lists. The results may showed that positive words had more powerful skills limitated the false memory under verbatim task, it showed the verbatim superiority about positive words. The experience task did little effect towerds negative words, had significant higher memory falses than positive and neutral words, negative words may be more automational.Experient 2 adopted familiar judgment task, required testee having gist process towards study word list. The results shwoed that negative words had more powerful skills promoted the false memory under gist task, it showed the gist superiority about negative words. The experience task did significant effect towerds positive words.Experient 3 had same study task but different recognition task(general/accurate), to move forward a step to investigate the difference between different valences. The results showed that negative words had gist superiority and had limited effection of task; positive words had more effective towards task, when verbatim process was limited, positive words could still restraining false memory with their preponderant monitor skills.With the whole three experients, different valence had different skills about false memory. Positive words did superiority verbatim skills and monitor skills, the process of positive words had more effective towards task, the superiority of verbatim could only reflected under verbatim task; negative words did superiority gist skills and little monitor skills, the process of negative words had little effective towards task. The valance and the depth of processing all did skills towards false memory, false memory exert an influence both from encoding phase and extraction phase.
