| Ever since China’s Reform and Open-up, “enthusiastic learning wave of mandarin Chinese” has swept all over the world. The undertaking of teaching Chinese as a foreign language keeps flourishing. The relationship between China and Thailand has become increasingly close. More and more students in Thailand begin to learn Chinese. The role of game teaching method in teaching practice has been elevated. The research on game teaching method is quite plentiful.However, as the teaching mode and students’ characteristics in Thailand is different from that of China, traditional teaching mode and method cannot adapt themselves to the teaching in Thailand. There are plenty of problems in practicing game teaching method, especially in junior class, for the students are too young to have a good logical thinking and understanding. The practical outcome of numerous games with delicate design is far from being expected. How to effectively carry out activity and maximize the role of game teaching method in teaching Chinese as a foreign language for students in junior class is exactly what to discuss in the paper.The paper selects Grade1-3 students of Jutarat Wittaya School, a private school in Pathum Thani in the middle of Thailand as research object. In combination with related theoretical research and personal teaching cases, the paper tries to, through specific case study, explore the application of game teaching method to the Chinese teaching in junior class of Thailand. It is hoped that the paper might make certain contribution to the following teaching activity. And some advices are given.This is the innovative point of this thesis.The paper analyzes the learning situation of Jutarat Wittaya School and represents status quo of certain course; the author introduces the theoretical basis of game teaching method and its inspiration,and analyzes, through personal class cases, the application of game teaching method to the teaching of junior class in terms of character & words, sentence type, dialogue and culture, and points out feasible advice, game-design and playing plan; What’s more, the author also puts forward some feasible measures to deal with possible problems in practicing game teaching and corresponding adjustment measures. |
