Investigation Of Chinese Teaching As A Foreign Language In UCD Confucius Institute For Ireland

Confucius Institute at University College Dublin for Ireland is cooperated by Renmin University of China with University College Dublin in Ireland. It is short for UCD CI. It was started to carry officially since 2006.The thesis takes the UCD CI Chinese language and culture teaching as the main research object. Using literature study,questionnaire, interview method,data collection,and comparative analysis to make a comprehensive investigation and research on Chinese language and culture teaching. Through working in the UCD CI for two years as a volunteer Chinese teacher,I can provide detailed and vivid materials for the paper. Eventually to summarize the characteristics and problems that exsit in Chinese language and culture teaching in UCD CI,as well as an inspiration to other Confucius Institutes.
