Because of great achievements he made in music creation, Beethoven is known as “music sage”. His 32 piano sonatas is the peak of piano music. Beethoven promoted the development of piano sonata genre to a new height, which provides reference for the future creation of composers. Taking “Opus 13 No.8” as the research object, The first work is a masterpiece of Beethoven’s piano sonata early creation, there is a lot of representative significance. From 1797 to 1798, when he had a deaf suffering named the first Beethoven "pathetique". Work shows the indignation and Beethoven to the unfair fate unfair society, but also reflects the Beethoven’s pursuit of freedom, equality and a better life yearning. analyzing its production background, musical structure, creative features, etc, this thesis summarizes Beethoven’s composing techniques applied in his early piano sonatas, sorts out his creation ideas of the social background at that time, exploits the connotation of “Opus 13 No.8”. Chapter 2 makes a detailed analysis on the musical structure of “Opus 13 No.8”.
