Interpersonal Sensitivity is a kind of personality which is too sensitive in reaction towards "other people’s behaviors, cognition and emotional affairs". Looking back on the previous studies, we find that the research of interpersonal sensitivity mainly focused on its characteristics and impact, but relatively less on the relevant research of interpersonal sensitivity and cognitive direction. The theory of cognitive processing explains that interpretation is the last stage of the cognitive processing, which is also a very important segment. In previous studies, we could also find that interpretation bias is an important factor for anxiety or depression. Therefore, on the basis of previous studies, this study combines the questionnaire method and experimental method by the objects of high school students, briefly discussing the characteristics of various dimensions of interpersonal sensitivity, focusing on the characteristics of interpretation bias for the high school students of different interpersonal sensitivity under the conditions of ambiguous information and in different situations and different circumstances. The main conclusions are as follows:Firstly, interpersonal sensitivity in general:the overall level of interpersonal sensitivity for high school students is relatively low, but relatively high in the needs of recognition and separation anxiety. And in terms of interpersonal sensitivity and demographic variables:dimensions of fragility, vigilance and inferiority are significantly different in gender;the girls are significantly higher than that of boys with regard to fragility and inferiority, and the boys in terms of vigilance is significantly higher than girls. A mother’s education level has an impact on a high school student in terms of introversion; the introversion of high school students whose mothers are of secondary school education backgrounds is significantly higher than those whose mothers are of college education backgrounds.Secondly, the high school students of high and low interpersonal sensitivity show interpretation bias before ambiguous information. The high school students of high interpersonal sensitivity are of more negative interpretations in the face of ambiguous information.Thirdly, the senior high students of high interpersonal sensitivity and the group of low interpersonal sensitivity show significant difference in negative interpretations bias, the senior high student of high interpersonal sensitivity have more negative interpretation towards ambiguous information in social and non-social situations. The groups of high and low interpersonal sensitivity show significant difference in positive interpretation bias; the senior high student of low interpersonal sensitivity has more positive interpretation towards ambiguous information in social and non-social situations.Fourthly, the group of high interpersonal sensitivity and the group of low interpersonal sensitivity being tested showed significant difference in reaction time. The interpretation bias for the group of low interpersonal sensitivity has its specific difference in events. The group of high interpersonal sensitivity has more negative interpretations towards self-related information and does not have positive interpretation bias towards others’information in social/non-social situations. The individuals of low interpersonal sensitivity group are of obvious differences in the interpretation bias of self-related information and others’information. The individuals of low interpersonal sensitivity group are of more positive interpretations towards self-related information in social non-social situations.
