An Interpreting Practice Report On Opening Remarks In Sino-German Friendship Forest Planting Activity: Applying Triangle Model Into C-e Consecutive Interpreting

This interpreting practice report is based on the opening remarks of Sino-German Friendship Forest Planting Activity organized by LPPAFFC.This thesis is based on the Triangle Model of Interpretive Theory which argues that the interpreting process is classified into comprehension,deverblization and reproduction.The Interpretive Theory emphasizes information meaning is the permanent core of translation,so it is significant to fully,accurately,consistently and equivalently transfer the target language meaning in the process of interpreting.This thesis makes an analysis of the difficulties that have occurred in this interpreting practice,including the translation of proper nouns,four-character structures and long sentences.Based on Triangle Model of Interpretive Theory,the author particularly puts forward interpreting strategies in the stage of reproduction after considering the reasons for the difficulties and the features of difficulties and taking comprehension and deverbalization as the foreshadowing.These strategies are literal translation strategy,amplification and meaning equivalence strategy and splitting strategy,which are helpful to maximally reduce the interpreter's mistakes,strengthen the interpreter's confidence,advance interpreting quality and give lessons and experience to other interpreters like the author.
