| The word "hai" is a Chinese modern adverb has various and complicated semantic meaning. It has become one of the key and difficult points for teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The Chinese adverb "hai" has a mutual correspondence with Indonesian word "masih", which bears similarities and differences in meaning. However, the Indonesian students can understand the similarities other than the differences. Then the Indonesian learners have always taken many kinds of errors when study and use it. In order to analyze the similarities and differences between Chinese adverb "hai" and Indonesian "masih", this article analizes from the three aspects of syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic through the comparative study. The researcher points out several teaching suggestions of Chinese adverb "hai" to provide references in Chinese teaching for Indonesian students.This paper is divided into five parts:Chapter 1 is the introduction which states the existing researchreview of Chinese adverb "hai" and Indonesian "masih", research scope, research object, research method and data corpus.Chapter 2 describes the features of syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic for Chinese adverb "hai". Chapter 3 describes the features of syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic for Indonesian "masih".Chapter 4 is the comparative analysis from the aspects of syntactic, semantic,pragmatic,the similarities and differences are summarized. Chapter 5 summarize the conclusion, and put forward some problems needed to be further discussed on this field. |
