| The eight-part essay was a type of essay that was used for testing scholars in Imperial Examination in Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty in China. Although the criticisms of the eight-part essay have been existing from its inception until now, the eight-part essay is not totally inferior. The Bight-part essay has its unique features and the value of rhythm from the perspective of language aesthetics. This thesis is based on the analysis of the expression and the characteristics in terms of the rhythm of words, the rhythm of sentences, and the rhythm of chapter. The purpose is to provide some evidence and research ideas for the rhythm research. Additionally, we should take the essence and abandon the dregs, critically inheriting the writing method of the Eight-part essay.Only then the charm of the ancient Chinese written language in the Eight-part essay could be valued and developed. |
