On Su Shi Ideology Of Literati Paintings

Su shi, the epitome of literary achievements in Northern Song Dynasty, is the great aster of China’s cultural art history. He was he distinguished.calligrapher, essayist, politician, as ell as an opposition of hypocrite and a compassionate moralist. Also, he was an opinionated person against Wang anshi. Long-suffering life, several times of ups and downs, and so many frustrations in his career were not able to destroy him. And, in the face of hardship and destiny, he still could sing while drinking, and smile to all gratitude nd revenges. Nevertheless, the unhappiness in politics hadbrought great achievements for his literary and artistic creation. Compared with the achievements he made in poems, prose and calligraphy, thepaintings of this new breed artist were less elegant. His pure natural andclassical economy painting style broke up the usual refined style since the Tang and Song Dynasty. It seems that the structure is simpler; the performance of the rhythm will be more beautiful. He admired Wu DaoziSince childhood and appreciated the remarkably smooth rhythm ofsouthern school. Together with his cousin Wen Tong and friend Mi Fu, they co-formed a school of painting. Although, he had a few of paintings, not to mention the masterpieces, he did play a leading role for thedevelopment and promotion of literati painting and the contributions to the theory of painting were incomparable. He not only pointed out the concept of "scholar’s paintings", but also elaborated theory of literati painting systematically:while focus on ink painting technique, should more emphasis on charm. The essence of poetry and painting were similar, theyboth were to express the true nature and personal mood. We can say thatin the history of Chinese painting, Sushi undertook the role of connecting.He established the theoretical foundation of literati painting; in addition, he infused the ideological connotation for literati painting.This thesis, based on the study from previous scholars, aims at reorganizing and summarizing the research on Sushi ideological aspects of literati painting. The article is divided into four chapters. Chapter one is abrief analysis for the paper framework. Chapter two generalizes thebiography of Su Shi and the background of literati painting causes. Chapter three is the core of this thesis, which discusses the ideologicalconnotation of literati painting, i.e.:Poem consistent with Painting,paintings of poetry and poetry in paintings, etc. Chapter Four is a summary that discusses the impact of Sushi Literati Painting for Chinese Painting.The subject of the study Sushi literati painting thought is conducive tocomb the development of the history of literati painting, and grasp the essence of literati painting. At the same time, it also has far-reaching significances on current Chinese painting theory study and practice.
