A Practice Interpreting Report On Going With The Talents

With the deepening of our country’s opening policy,the mass medium industry is growing as well. There are some but few high-quality Chinese TV shows which have been interpreted into English to foreign countries. Therefore, this paper is willing to build up our national image and strengthen the understanding of China. This paper is an interpretation simulation practice which is based on the material of Going with the Talents(Interviewing with Liu Chuanzhi), and it sets an example of consecutive interpreting, analyzing cases of various situations during the interpreting process and reflecting the whole process literally faithfully.For the influence of Going with the Talents (Interviewing with Liu Chuanzhi) on the present cultural field, the interpreter needs to take a comprehensive and specific factor into consideration during the process of the interpreting. There are a great number of difficult preparations which need to be done with consulting many related resources.Based on the interpreting experience, the interpreter will elaborate and summarize those concrete issues such as the skills of interpreting for those TV programs, providing reference for the interpreting and compiling of those similar subjects.This thesis consists of three parts: introduction, main body and conclusion. Its main contents are as following:The first part is the introduction, including the research background of Going with the Talents and the realistic value of this topic.The second part is the main body, which is made up of three chapters.Chapter One mainly introduces the task description. In this chapter, it firstly introduces the backgrond of Going with the Talents and the selection of the topic, also analyzes the significance of the topic.Chapter Two concentrates on the process description. It analyzes the role of pre-preparation stage in the interpreting including collection of background, the establishment of term list and interpreting skills. Then the author introduces the process of interpreting and quality control. At last, the author gives a report on the task fulfillment.Chapter three is case analysis. Guided by variation translation theory,the author mainly analyzes the specific adaption of all kinds of translation skills, etc..The last part is the conclusion, which makes a summary of the whole thesis and points out the main mistakes and problems, which is to improve the quality of the interpretation. Through the analyses and summaries of the whole interpreting process, the author collects much precious and valuable experience which is very important for the future interpreting work.
