Current Research Of Chinese Solfeggio Grade Examination

The Solfeggio course is a specialized elementary course for music learning.The abilities of Solfeggio are always the basis whether in the process of professional music learning,or in the process of part-time music learning.Since 1998 Chinese Musicians Association has launched musical accomplishment grade examination,more and more people realized the importance of the learning of Solfeggio training.Central Conservatory of Music(CCOM)committee are going to improve their grade examination system gradually and take grade examination into consideration.The thesis researches on the great changes of the Solfeggio grade examination he ld at Central Conservatory of Music,the top school of music in China,and compares old and new contents,methods as well as the standards of the grade examination of ba sic knowledge in music,to know the present situation of the typical Solfeggio grade e xam and to analyse the progress and development in Chinese Solfeggio teaching.The paper introduces briefly and analyse the Solfeggio of the Exams of British Royal Academy of Music(aural test),and further explains the great development of Chinese music education.The paper is divided into three sections:1.Definition of Solfeggio;2.The Present Situation and Analysis of Solfeggio grade examination;3.A Comparative Study of Solfeggio and training;It is hoped that this thesis can catch up the trend of Chinese Solfeggio teaching through the case study of the Central Conservatory of Music,which will be helpful to the development of Chinese Solfeggio grade examination.
