Practice Report On The English Translation Of The General Introduction To Nationalities

This translation practice is based on the translation of The General Introduction to Nationalities which is a text of social sciences published by Liaoning Nationalities Publishing House and edit by Sun Dongbo,associate professor of Hebei Normal University for Nationalities.Through a survey of bibliographical information,the study on The General Introduction to Nationalities is little,but in order to deepen the awareness and understanding of the nation,the translation of this book is particularly important.With the economic globalization,it’s of significance to learn the survey of world nationality for it can boost the links and communications.Based on the English Translation of The General Introduction to Nationalities,This report analyzes the translation practice.The content of the report includes four parts: the description of the translation task,the description of the translation process,the analysis of the case and the summary of the translation practice.This thesis makes an analysis of the problems encountered in the translation process,such as the English translation of the title,vocabulary,and sentence.This thesis also summarizes the translation strategies and methods needed for the translation of the national articles,which enriches my translation experience and improves the translation competence.Finally,work summaries are timely done.Sincerely hope this practice report can provide some reference for other English learners.
